GlobeViewer Mars offers an immersive and three-dimensional representation of the entire Martian surface. The interactive global map displays official designations for diverse surface features. For a more intricate exploration, users can access a higher resolution localized 3D map to examine craters, mountains, and other formations up close. Furthermore, the platform houses a comprehensive mission log chronicling all Mars missions dating back to 1960.

Starting from version 0.4, GlobeViewer Mars showcases the landing region of NASA's Mars2020 mission. Leveraging HiRISE data from the Mars Global Observer, an ultra high-resolution landing site map is available, enabling users to navigate the rover’s surroundings within Jezero Crater. Users can also adjust height levels in the 3D map to gain a more detailed understanding of elevation changes, tracking the movement of both the Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter for real-time mission updates.

Version 0.7 introduced meticulously detailed views generated through photogrammetry based on photos captured by Percy and Ingy. This feature provides an up-close look at stones and rock formations on Mars, offering users a sense of being right there on the planet.
